FRENCH CLASSES LONDON

I’ve just been having a look online for cheap flights and cheap weekends away. Much to my surprise, the most pleasantly appealing offer was for the train. A carbon neutral weekend away to Paris on the cheap? Hello Eurostar (and as they say, “Hello to 186mph”), now you’re really talking my language!

A return trip to Paris is currently going for as little as £59 – and emits ten times less carbon dioxide than a flight. I like to be a bit environmentally conscious, so that’s really music to my ears (and no, not Enya-inspired magical rainforest pan pipes, more like the “cold hard cash” sound on a television game show). With the train, it’s just one central location to another – no airport buses which charge three-times the flight cost of these so-called “cheap flights” and no time wasted with check-in or flicking through in-flight magazines. I can’t wait for a break in high Parisian style!

But this reminds me of one… major… personal shortcoming, and that is my lack of French. I can get by with a bit of Russian, I’ve had a dabble in Italian courses London and attempted to learn Spanish London. Much to my Austrian father’s dismay, I’ve never bothered with taking a German course London… but French… What should I say about that? Even though France is swimming distance away (for some), I’d never even considered taking French classes London. But now is the time – I feel a calling! I’m going to be conversant in a few months for my weekend in Paris!

Through my work, the opportunity is offered to take all sorts of coaching courses. A lot are about motivation for exectutives, self-esteem in the workplace and general coaching for business, but there are also language classes called “Learn French London” and the like. I’ve never taken any career coaching (or “weekend away coaching”) classes before, but I think this gives me the perfect opportunity to start!

Paris, here I come!
